Christina Garcia

Christina Garcia was born in the Rio Grande
Valley and raised in Hidalgo, Texas. She attended
Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and received
her degree in English in 2004. Following her
undergraduate studies, Christina completed a Masters
Degree in Public Administration from the University
of Texas-Pan American. While pursuing her Masters,
Christina worked with U.S. Congressman Ruben
Hinojosa and also had the opportunity to study at
the Université De Paris-Sorbonne and the Üniversität
Lüneburg.
Christina received her law degree
from the University of Connecticut School of law in
2009. During law school, Christina worked with the
University of Connecticut School of Law’s Asylum
Clinic and also as a judicial intern with the Texas
Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin, Texas.
She is fully fluent in Spanish and is proficient in
conversational Italian and French. Christina is also
a member of the National Organization of Social
Security Claimants’ Representatives and the Mexican
American Bar Association.
