Cynthia Ellis Rosen

Cynthia Ellis Rosen was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and raised in West Columbia, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993. Cynthia graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2002, where she served as an Associate Editor of the St. Mary's Law Journal, and was inducted into the John Harlan and Phi Delta Phi Honor Societies. Cynthia was also a member of St. Mary's Moot Court team, a winner of the 2002 ABA Regional Appellate Advocacy Competition.
For two years, Cynthia served as a board member of the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association and has been active in the Bexar County Women's Bar Association. She is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives. Cynthia was licensed to practice in Texas in 2002, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Southern, and Northern Districts of Texas. Before joining Heard & Smith's Social Security Disability section in 2005, her practice focused on commercial litigation.
