What health insurance do you get with Disability Insurance Benefits (DIB) or SSI?
When awarded Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (DIB), you will be entitled to Medicare Insurance benefits, 2 years after your entitlement date. When awarded Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you will be entitled to Medicaid Insurance benefits. Both insurance programs help pay for regular doctor visits, hospitalizations, and prescription drugs.
