Shanti Day
Shanti
Day was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She received her B.A. from UT Austin
in 1997, her M.A. in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix in
Denver in 2000, and her J.D. from St Mary’s University in 2006. While at St
Mary’s she was a member of the Board of Advocates and President of the Women’s
Law Association. She continues to work with the Board of Advocates by judging
Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions at the law school.
Prior to
joining Heard & Smith in 2011, Shanti represented claimants in their Social
Security Disability claims across Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico.
As
the daughter of socially conscious parents, Shanti has always had an eye to how
she can affect her community in a positive way. She currently serves on the
Board of Directors for Alpha Home and Reaching Maximum Independence. She also
fundraises and participates in marathons for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
